Geographic Analysis For Management

The industries including oil (petroleum), gas, mining, and pipelines all involve natural resources. All of these industries include at least some of the following operations (numerous others are not listed): the building of refineries, routing of pipelines, drilling of wells, location of wells, transport of materials, acquisition of land data, safety hazards, environmental concerns and restrictions, and training. These processes are all very unique and require information derived in many different ways. In addition, the industry must apply and collect this data as efficiently as possible. The resource must be located, permission to retrieve the resource must be attained, land must be drilled, the resource must be processed and finally transported. For these processes to occur, an immense amount of organization and information are required. Finally, all of the components must be completed as quickly as possible for the awaiting consumer.

GbBIS: A Management Tool

GbBIS provides solutions for every problem dealing with acquiring, organizing, and unifying the information in a fast, efficient way. The mapping software provided by GbBIS can serve many purposes: outlining the locations of resources and wells, finding efficient pipeline routing, identifying efficient form of transportation, detecting the locations of competitors, detecting the locations of environmental hazards and restrictions, and even finding the areas (within the company) which need more training programs! Almost any problem can be solved using GbBIS software technology, and, many times, a hidden problem area can be detected. GbBIS can even map a given area to show possible locations for a new refinery. The possibilities are endless: whether the industry is petroleum, gas, mining, or pipeline, the solution is GbBIS!
